🚫 The problem The Transcriber solves
One challenge I wanted to address while developing this app was the difficulty of transcribing audio directly from other apps.
The Transcriber solves this by capturing internal audio directly, allowing seamless transcription from apps like TikTok or Instagram, even when muted.
Additionally, I eliminated the "secondary downloads" common in offline tools.
By ensuring everything works immediately upon install, I’ve created a self-contained tool that respects the user’s time and privacy.
✅ How The Transcriber works
Upon entering the application, you can add a new transcript by tapping the “Add Icon” at the bottom center of the screen.
When this is tapped, you have the option to:
* Transcribe internal audio being played on the device.
* Transcribe audio detected from the device’s microphone.
* Transcribe audio from a selected file present on the device.
The transcription process begins shortly thereafter.
During this stage, you are able to delete or save the current transcription at any time, while also being able to edit the transcript as it updates in real-time.
Once saved, the transcript will appear on the initial screen of the application alongside any other previously saved transcripts.
From here, you can search through or delete your available transcripts.
Lastly, tapping on a saved transcript will return you to the transcription screen.
There, you can once again edit the text, search for keywords, play back the associated audio, or share both the transcript and its audio file.
